Registering on
FamilySearch.org
Registration
Instructions (Handout) Screen

Invite families to contact the consultants in the ward if they need
help
registering on FamilySearch.
Screen
shot of the actual registration page This
screen shot could be printed on the back side of the registration
instructions and given to members. They can see, ahead of
time,
exactly what information they will need to give and will notice the
optional part of the registration on the bottom of the form. Many
people don't notice or don't fill out this part of the
registration.
It is necessary to fill out this portion and register as members of the
Church, with membership number and corresponding confirmation date, in
order to see the ordinance dates of ancestors.
Note:
Members will need to re-register in the future when the
new FamilySearch is
released, so remind them to keep their registration information in a
safe
place where they can locate it when needed. Also, since a large
percentage of
calls to Family History Support are because members have forgotten
their username and password, suggest that they write the information on
the
back of their temple recommend, in the back of their journal, and
several places.

here for a very useful idea and small card template to record the
information.
