This Indenture Made this 27th day of February in the year of our lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and six Between William Burns Sen. of the County of Berkeley & State of Virginia of the one part and Henry Whiteneck of the same County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of One Thousand Dollars Current Money of the States to the said William Burns Sen. in hand paid by the said Henry Whiteneck at or before the sealing and Delivery of these presents the Receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and therof doth release acquit and Discharge the said Henry Whiteneck his heirs Executors and administrators by these presents he the said William Burns Sen. had granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant Bargain and sell unto the Said Henry Whiteneck and his heirs and assigns forever a certain moiety or portion of Land being part of a greater tract puchased by the said Burns of James Capshaw & Bounded as followeth-- Begining at a Red oad by a branch corner to William Burns old Survey and turning thence South Thirty East Seventy two poles to a pine on a hill side thence S 76° 30 W Seventy Eight Poles to a hickory sapling thence N. 01"30W one Hundred and forty Eight Poles to a White and Hickory Corner to Robert Campbell thence N17.30 E two Hundred poles to a white Oak on a hill side thence N 18"30 E Eight poles to a pine Poles in the line of Joseph Evans thence S 550 E Two Hundred and ten Poles to the Beginning Containing Two Hundred acres which sd. Tract aforesaid is adjoining the Lands of the said William Burns's old Survey. Joseph Evans, Robert Campbell & John Fryatt--and all Houses Buildings Orchards ways waters water Courses Profits commodities Hereditaments and Apurtenances whatsoever to the said Premises hereby granted or any part therof belonging or in any wise appertaining and the Reversions and Reversions Remainder and Remainders Rents Issues and profits therof and also all the Estate Right title Interest use trust property Claim and Demand whatsoever of him the said William Burns Sen. & his heirs of in and to the said Premises and all Deeds Evidences and writings touching or in any wise Concerning the SAme: To have and to hold the Lands herby conveyed and all and Singular other the premises hereby granted and every part and parcel thereof with their and every of their Appurtenances unto the said Henry Whiteneck his heirs and assigns forever. And the said William Burns Sen. for himself his heirs executors and administrators doth covenant Promise and grant to and with the said Henry Whiteneck his heirs and assigns by these presents that the said William Burns Sen. now at the time of Sealing and Delivering of these presents is siezed of a good sure perfect and Indefeasible Estate of inheritance in fee simple of an in the premises hereby granted and that he has good Power and lawfull and absolute authority to grant and convey the same to the said Henry Whiteneck and his heirs in Manner and form aforesaid and that the said Premises now are and forever herafter shall remain and be free and Clear of and from all former and other Gifts grants Bargains sales Dower Right and title of Dower Judgements Executions titles troubles Charges and Encumbrances whatsoever made doen Committed or Suffered by the said William Burns sen. or any person or persons whatsoever (the Land Tax imposed by Sale only Excepted and foreprized) And Lastly that the said William Burns sen. and his heirs and all and singular other the premises herby granted and released with the appertenances unto the said Henry Whiteneck his heirs and all and every other person and persons whatsoever Shall Warrant and forever Defnd by these presents. In Witness whereof the said William Burns Sen. hat hereunto set his hand and Seal the day and year above written.

At a court held for Berkeley County the 9th day of December 1811. This Indenture of Bargain and Sale from William Burns sen. to Henry Whiteneck was on Sept 22d proven by two witnesses thereto and on the 9th day of December was further proven by Agnes Burnes and ordered to be Recorded. By the court.
