This Indenture, made this twenty fifth Day of February in the Year of our Lord, one thousand Eight hundred & Nine between Henry Whitenah & Margaret his wife of the County of Berkeley state of Virginia of the one Part, & Wm. F Campbell of the County & State afs. of the Other Part. Witnesseth that for & in Consideration of the sum of four hundred and Thirty seven Dollard Current Money of the United States to the sd. Henry Whitenah in Hand paid by the said William F Campbell at or before the Sealing & Delivery of these Presents, the Receipt whereof he doth herby acknowledge & therof doth Release, acquit, and Discharge the said William F Campbell his Executors and Admrs by these Presents that they the sd. Henry Whitnah and Margeret his wife have granted, bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell, unto the said William F Campbell and his heirs a certain tract of parcel of land situate lying & being on the Western drains of Opecqean Creek in the County of Berkeley it being part the same tract that was Conveyed to William Burns Senr. of Virginia by James Graham by Deed & conveyed by the sd. Willam Burns to Henry Whitnah of the County of Berkeley by Deed. & now in the possession of the sd. Henry Whitenah & Bounded as follows to wit. Beginning at a locust stake by a branch in the Line of John Fryatt near a spring thence South 17º 30" E 8 Poles to a pine in the Line of John Evans thence S 50º E 210 Poles to a Red Oak by the afsd Branch in the line of George Burns thence up the sd. Branch to the Beginning Containing fifty Acres------ and all Huses, Buildings, Orchards, Ways, Waters Water Courses Profits, Commodities, Hereditaments & Appurtenances whatsoever, to the sd. Premises hereby granted, or any part thereof belonging, or in any appertaining; & the Reversion & Reversions, Remainder & Remainders, Rents ??, & Profits thereof, & also all the Estate Rights, title, Interest, Use, Trust, Property, Claim, and Demand whatsoever of them the said Henry Whitenah and Margeret his wife of in, and to the said Premises, & all Deeds, Evidences, & Writings touching, or in any wise concerning the same. To have & To Hold the Lands hereby conveyed, & all and Singular other the PRemises, hereby granted, and every Part & Parcel thereof, with their and every one of their Appurtenances, unto the said Willam F Campbell his Heirs & Assigns forever to the only proper Use and Behoof of him the said Wm F Campbell his Heirs & Assigns forever---- And the sd. Henry Whitenah & Margeret his wife for themselves their Heirs, Executors, and Admrs, doth covenant, promise & grant to & with the sd. Willaim F Campbell his Heirs and Assigns by these Presents, that the sd. Hnery Whitnah & Margeret his wife now at the time of Sealing & Delivering of these Presents are seized of a good, sure, perfect, & Indefeasible Estate of Inheritance; in Fee Simple, of & in the Premises hereby granted, & that they have good Power & Lawful & absolute authority, to grant & convey the same to the said Wm. F Campbell in Manner & Form afsd., & that the said Premises now are, & forever hereafter shall remain & be free and clear of and from all former and other gifts Grants, Bargains, Sales, Dower, Right, and Title of Dower Judgements, Executions, Titles Troubels, Charges, & Encumberances whatsoever, made, done, committed or suffered by the said Henry Whitnah or Margeret his Wife or any Person or Per4son whatsoever, (the Land Tax imposed by Law only excepted and forepreaised.)

And Lastly, that the sd. Henry Whitnah & Margeret his wife & their Heirs, all and Singular toe Premises hereby granted and released, with the Appurtenances, unto the sd. William F Campbell his Heirs & Assigns, against them the sd. Henry Whitnah & Margeret his wife & heirs and all & every other Person & Persons whatsoever, shall warrant & forever defend by these Presents; ......

In Witness whereof, the sd. Henry Whitnah & Margaret his wife hat hereunto set their hands & seals the Day & Year above Written.
