This is from a photograph I snapped on a backpack journey that I took in 1980.I was walking the beach southeast towards Petrolia, California, seeking and finding solitude. I created the painting several years later in my Oklahoma studio, wanting to recapture the pounding dark physical beauty of this lonely oceanside.The painting 'Seiche In Blue', Opus 137, is from the same location, looking Northwest. |
