This painting was a turning point for my artwork. I was barely out of high school,
trying to test my artistic ability.I fell into an amazing calm focus while creating
this work. I spent 4 of the most satisfying weeks of my life exploring this unfolding
scene. After that, I felt I had found the center of my existence. This work also
was a turn from obvious surreal fantasy to the hyperreal depictions of Nature that
became my focus for many years. |
