I had just moved to California the previous September to continue my University studies. My travel from Oklahoma had directly crossed the great desert areas of New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, and Nevada. Like many others I was deeply inspired. This work was a fantasy landscape meant to capture the desert magnificance so I could hold it closer. |
