This work is also from Sapphire Pond. I have always felt deep mystery in rock formations. This little hilltop scene, capped by Blackjack Oaks, whispered ancient life, preserved in the present moment, like Celtic stone circles, but from the temporal recesses of untouched nature. Painting it was my homage to the Oklahoma countryside.
