Kakwa Community Khartoum
In Sudan Kakwa are maily located in Yei, Juba and Khartoum, we the Kakwa youth in Khartoum formed a
Kakwa community branch called the "Kakwa Community in Khartoum (KCK).
KCK came to its existance since May 2000 When the Kakwa youth realized that in long run the Kakwa culture
will be forgotton especially in ways how funerals and marriage ceremonies are conducted. After conducted
three successful mettings we came up with the following objectives of KCK.

To see mass acceptance of KCK youth and the
community in general.

To promote unity, love among the Kakwa and to
consolidate and reconcile kinship, religious or
domination and chieftenship difference.

To identify and address socio cultural problems such
as education and training, research HIV/AIDS awareness, gender issues, marriage and the use of the
Kakwa language and some other traditional elements.

To enhance and facilitate some relationship and
cooperation with all the Kakwa within and in diaspora and in the government through visits,
communication and other means of correspondance.

To established social centre for the Kakwa for their
activities in objective three and four above and for income generating activities and developmental
projects.

To assist in fund raising to the Society and for
other social issues such as illness, funerals and bride wealth.

To encourage the youth to take part in government
sectors such as the police etc.
