We are excited to announce that a family seminar will be held at the Alta Crystal Resort at Mt. Rainier on June 23, 2007 from noon to 2:00 pm to coincide with the Climb to Conquer SADS.

The seminar will feature presentations by Dr. Michael Ackerman and Dr. Susan Etheridge. A question & answer session will be held afterwards. The seminar is free and a box lunch will be included. Everyone is welcome!

Arrhythmia Teen Bowling

Saturday, November 4th, 2006 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm
Plano Super Bowl, Plano, TX

Sometimes it helps to meet people your own age who are facing the same challenges that you do. So come join us for an afternoon of bowling, new friends, food, a few prizes, and great fun!!!  Who knows, we may have so much fun that we organize a group and plan some more activities.

Heart to Heart of Dallas Children’s Medical Center will sponsor this first get-together for teens with an implanted cardio defibrillator (ICD) or an arrhythmia diagnosis such as Long QT Syndrome, ARVD, Brugada, etc. 

The event will be held at Plano Super Bowl on Saturday, November 4th, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. Two hours of bowling, shoes, and snacks will be provided to those teens, ages 12 to 18, participating. Parents are welcome to stay and visit with each other or to get a lane of their own and roll a few balls.

Our hosts for the event are Jeff and Barbara Butcher.  Jeff was diagnosed with ARVD a few years back and was promptly given an ICD.  About 30 years ago Barbara was diagnosed with Long Qt Syndrome.  They have 8 children of which 4 have Long QT Syndrome.  One of their children has an ICD.

Plano Super Bowl (972-881-0242) is located at 2521 Avenue K, Plano, TX  75074.  From North Central Expressway (75) northbound  - Park Blvd. exit and turn on East Central Parkway (at Denny’s Restaurant on frontage road) to the signal light which is at Park Blvd.  Turn right; Avenue K is the first street across the DART rail. Turn left; Plano Super Bowl is on the left at the second left turn opening.
