Student Curriculum and Classes *Note: Be sure that you learn the pieces listed under the Code (V3, Q1, C2 etc.) you registered for. Please register for the code you are on now. Students who register for a higher level than they are prepared for, cause problems for themselves and everyone else. Thank you!
Twinkle Curriculum (Parent must attend all classes.) This course, ages 3-7 only, will include one daily small class of 6 or less students with a Twinkle Specialist. We encourage you to sign up for enrichment for these children also. We especially recommend for violin and viola students both E17and E18; for cello students we recommend E17. Must not be beyond the Twinkles before June. Fee - $80.00 (Includes One class,T-shirt, BBQ, snacks, and all concerts) Register for Codes _ V1, Violin Twinkle Q1, Viola Twinkle C1, Cello Twinkle Student Curriculum for: Violin Books 1-3; Viola, Cello and Bass Books 1-2 4 Hour Core - These courses will include three core classes a day from the Suzuki material: a master class, technique class, and repertoire class. Also included is one elective enrichment class to complete the 4 hour core curriculum. You may take additional enrichment classes for $35 each. Your schedule has room for a total of 3 enrichment classes. Fee - $240.00 (Includes T-shirt, BBQ, and 5 o'clock snacks) Register for Codes _ V2, Violin Books 1, 2, 3 Prepare all Suzuki Repertoire Q2, Viola Books 1, 2 Prepare all Suzuki Repertoire C2, Cello Books 1, 2 Prepare all Suzuki Repertoire B1, Bass Books 1, 2 Prepare all Suzuki Repertoire Intermediate Student Curriculum for Violin Books 4-8, Viola Books 3-5, Cello Books 3-6, BassBook3 5 Hour Core _ These courses include 3 Suzuki core classes: a master class, performance class, and a repertoire/technique class. Chamber or ensemble groups and orchestra complete this advanced 5 hour core curriculum. Each performance class will play on the final concert and should prepare the pieces listed below their registration code. You may sign up for an enrichment class, $35 each, in your free hour. *Note: Book 4, 5 violin students who are 8 or younger will be given a chamber orchestra (Ch01) and a fiddling class. Nine year olds who would like this schedule should include a request. Book 3 viola and cello students will have a viola or cello ensemble instead of a chamber group. (Ch02, Ch03). Concerto in a minor, 1st mvt. by Vivaldi (Suzuki Bk. 4) V5, Violin Book 5 Terry Durbin Prepare and memorize the following pieces for group performance: 1. Concerto in g minor, 1st mvt. by Vivaldi (Suzuki Bk. 5) V6, Violin Book 6 Michael McLean Prepare and memorize the following pieces for group performance: 1. Sonata in F Major, 2nd & 3rd mvt., by Handel (Suzuki Bk. 6) V7, Violin Books 7 & 8 Allen Lieb Students registering for this level should know at least 3 pieces from Book 7-8.
