It's the time of year to start sailing and to renew your membership in the Utah Windriders Association for only $10.

For an additional $25, you will receive a key to the Rocky Point launch site (you must be a UWA member to purchase a key.) Rocky Point at Utah Lake provides access through a locked gate approximately 100 yards north of El Nautica. The launch site is about 100 yards wide with plenty of parking, rigging space, and room for kids to play. It also has much clearer wind than El Nautica, since it is about a mile further north and is deep enough that you can jibe about 10 yards from the beach. All that and your belongings are protected by a locked gate!

For $30, you can also renew your United States Windsurfing Association dues through the UWA. USWA helps local windsurfing associations with access and political issues. A few years ago, the USWA helped Utah windsurfers overturn the state's requirement that all windsurfing boards be licensed and registered yearly, and that windsurfers wear PFD's on Utah lakes at all times.
