In wasting our most precious years watching a shameful amount of horror movies, we noticed certain patterns emerging. Whether the familiar faces that we see in horror movie after horror movie, or the skulls that we so gleefully award, those patterns become hard to ignore. The Special Collections wing of the Horror Film Compendium is devoted to a different kind of research. The following pages contain lists and indices of some of the harder to quantify elements of horror. Each individual page has its own self-contained definition, so we invite you to click on them and explore some of the more interesting portions of the horror film world.
