Made by Williams in January, 1973. This is a two-player machine with a pop
music theme. I believe it has a cousin with an identical playfield named
Fun-Fest.
Backglass: Dance scene of women and a couple of men, drawn in comical style.
Playfield: Symmetrical layout with five jet bumpers at the top just below the top
rollover lanes. Between the top rollover lanes is a saucer that advances
the "swing reel"--a 0-9 scoring reel in the backglass that is reset to zero
at the start of each ball. The "swing reel" numbers are pink rather than
black. A center swinging target scores points on a clock-driven cycle of
playfield inserts scoring 1,000 to 3,000 points. The left out-lane features
a kickback, and the right out-lane features a ball-save gate. Between the
flippers is an up-post. The basic colors of the playfield are yellow,
green, and pink.
Cabinet: Colors are blue and red on a white background. The stenciled
shapes are circles and musical notes.
This game as plenty to shoot for but unfortunately much of the game requires
shooting up the sides into the bumpers and waiting to get lucky. Besides
that I believe the game is fun. I usually like lots of gadgets and this has
plenty, with a moving target, the "swing reel", and the drain-protection
features.
I purchased this machine from another collector. I enjoyed playing it
because of the gadgets and the brightly colored artwork.
