Worn Bally drop target bank assemblies often have a problem of resetting one
or two targets too high. This is caused by the pivot arm connected to the
base of the target being worn such that the end is too short to remain in
the guide slot. There are several ways to remedy this problem.
1. Exchange the pivot arm with one on either outside end of the assembly.
The outside arms are the same, but don't get worn because they don't have a
guide slot.
2. A faster solution is to deform the back plane of the assembly, moving
the guide slot slightly forward, by inserting a penny, washer, or two in the
gap between the two metal pieces that meet next to the bottom of each guide
slot.
