Relying on the old standby trick of stuffing toothpicks down those
reamed-out playfield screw holes in order to retighten post screws, I one
day found nary a toothpick in the house and was faced with a couple of loose
post screws. Desperate, I substituted bamboo kabob skewers that I found in
a drawer. The result was astonishing in that the screws tightened down as
never before! The hard wood nature of the bamboo withstood the screw
threads rather than crumbling like the softer toothpick wood. The bamboo
skewers work so well that they're now standard equipment in the workshop!
