If security is not a problem and your lock doesn't have a key, but the lock is
unlocked, remove the screw or nut at the inside end of the lock and pull out
the lock cylinder. On the cylinder you will find recessed little brass
tumblers and springs. Remove the tumblers and springs. Reassemble the lock
and now you can use the lock just to keep the door closed, and just use any
key or a screwdriver to open and close it. For this to work well the latch
must close firmly, or the lock may continually fall open. If the lock
continues to fall open you may be able to adjust the rotation or position of
the latch so that the lock falls to locked position rather than to unlocked.
