Some people prefer to preserve their backglasses with 10-mil clear,
self-adhesive mylar. This works well on glasses with little or no flaking.
When applying you need to be extremely careful to lay the mylar on correctly
(wrinkle-free) the first time, because you cannot reposition it once
it touches the backglass.
