When putting a solid state game in storage, or when you pick up a solid
state game and you may not get to work on it right away, be sure to
remove the batteries from the main board. Many games' boards have been
seriously damaged from leaking batteries. Corrosion will actually follow
traces and wire harnesses. Even if you have a battery soldered
directly on the board, it should be removed. You will eventually have to
remove it anyway.
