On most machines some playfield posts have the option being moved within
about 3/8". These movable posts always have pre-drilled dimples or holes in
the playfield (which are usually hidden under the post when installed) where
the post may be placed. These movable posts are usually located near the
outlanes, or near an important target. The position that makes the outlane
larger, or makes the target harder to hit (or smaller) is considered
CONSERVATIVE. The position that makes the outlane smaller, or makes the
target easier to hit (or larger) is considered LIBERAL.
