If you have an area of a solid color with small flakes or spots of paint
missing all over, the appearance can look very poor and touching up with a
brush looks poor. Here is a surprisingly easy touch up technique.
Use acrylic paint, get a close color match, and using your finger tip dab
the paint to get all the missing spots covered. Be careful not to be too
generous with the paint. Now using the same finger, rub the area so that
the paint gets worked into all the cracks or spots. If you rub with just
the right pressure the fresh paint will also come off the unneeded areas and
stay only where wanted! It is amazing how simple and well this works.
