Nothing is more aggravating than trying to remove an I.C. or socket and
having the foil pull up! Try cutting the I.C. or socket legs off close to
the body and remove the pins 1 by 1 from the board, sometimes with
sockets you can split it in half by using cutters to nip it and it will
split on it's own. I use a pair of close tip cutters from Radio Shack.
