Warped playfield inserts may also be heated in a 250 degree oven and
reshaped. If inserts over time become concave, the pinball may be "trapped"
in the insert and you may tilt the machine trying to get the ball out of the
concave "bowl".
Remove the insert by heating with a blow drier and pushing the insert out
with a dowel just smaller that the insert, (I used my thumb.) Next heat the
insert in a 250 degree oven, watching carefully. When the insert becomes
soft enough, remove quickly and press in the center with your thumb to make
a slight convex (outward) curve, so than the pinball will roll over the
insert, rather than getting trapped.
