Try removing some of the bulbs from the back box in an equally distributed
fashion. It will not only reduce the current draw across connectors but
reduce reflective glare of the back box on the playfield glass under subdued
lighting conditions of your game room. Resolder the pins on the trace side
of the transformer board. Make sure all your connections are good, and
clean. Bad connections produce heat.
