When troubleshooting an EM or a SS pin, begin with the most obvious
possibilities of failure first before you begin to assume the worst. Check
for lose wires and solder joints which are loose or missing. You would be
amazed how many times what might seem like a complicated problem to
troubleshoot turns out to be a lose wire on a coil or relay point. Once you
re-solder that loose wire, all your problems are gone and your machine is working fine again!
