When chasing wires through plugs from head to playfield be cautious about
sticking your voltmeter probes into plug sockets as probes are often larger
than the pins of the male plug causing the female socket to be enlarged and
possibly making poor contact when reinserted. Remove female sockets from
plugs using proper extractor and pinch down with needle nose pliers and
reinsert.
