Do you have, or ever have a leg bolt that has been stripped? Well, if you
go to your local hardware store, and ask for a 3/8 #16 tap. This will help
most of the time. Take the tap, apply some machine oil, and screw it in
just like a leg bolt. Then unscrew the tap almost all the way, then back in
again. You have just tapped the screw hole, and removed any metal shavings
that were in the threads. Now replace the leg bolt with a new one. It will
be like new again. Don't use the old leg bolt. If you do, you will have
the same problem again.
