If you have weird switch problems but the switches are good, the problem may be intermittent poor connections. Look at the wiring diagram of the switch matrix and you will see 8 green wires (with various tracers), and 8 white wires (with various tracers) for 64 switches. Check those wires for a good contact into all the IDC connectors. And check that all harness connectors are tightly plugged together.
