If someone has painted over original cabinet graphics with latex paint, you
can easily remove the latex paint with a solvent product called 'GOOF OFF'.
It is readily available at K-Mart and most any home improvement center.
Simply apply solvent to a rag (you'll need a bunch of rags) and start
rubbing. The latex paint will melt away and leave the original graphics
undamaged. I have done this several times and it worked like a charm. Be
sure to use good ventilation while working with this product.
