CARL INOWAY COMMUNITY DESIGN SCHOLARSHIP
ASSIST Inc announces the initiation of the Carl Inoway Community Design Scholarship in honor of Carl Inoway, who with others, founded ASSIST in 1969 as one of the first non-profit community design centers in the nation.
The scholarship will provide $1,000 to a full time student studying architecture, urban planning or community development at a Utah institution of higher education who demonstrates experience or exhibits interest in community design issues of community-based planning, affordable and accessible housing, and social, economic and environmental justice
Students with financial need and interest in community design must apply for the scholarship by June 1, 2007. One scholarship will be awarded for the 2007-08 academic year. A financial aid award letter from the school attended must be submitted along with the scholarship application.
ASSIST provides architectural design, community planning, and development assistance to non-profit and community groups, and housing and accessibility design assistance to low income households or persons with disabilities.
