Almost Time

Well, it's February 4th, our long awaited due date, and the baby is not here yet. Thank you to all who have been calling. The books predicted that we would get annoyed with all the check-in calls but it sure hasn't happened for us. We're really enjoying hearing from everybody and are happy that y'all are as excited as we are. (More so in some cases....)

I want to start off our new baby web page with a special thanks to Jon and Allie for helping us get this cute little page up and running. Of course it won't be THE CUTEST until some actual pictures are up here, but I'm sure we can all be just a little more patient.

Nik and I are feeling great and have had our bags packed for a couple of weeks now. Now we're just trying to relax and take one day at a time until the big day.

Merrill and Theresa are driving out to see us and the new baby. As I write this they're driving through snow in the middle of Wyoming right now! It will be great to have them here for the next couple of weeks. Merrill hasn't been out west since September 2001! It goes without saying that I will be handing them paint brushes as soon as they walk in the door.

We're doing some serious remodelling of the house, and our plan is to have it all wrapped up by December 2003. You know how it goes to stick to a plan though. We'll get some pictures of that project up on this page eventually. For now, just be comforted by the fact that we've got plenty of room for us and the baby for the next couple of months, and that our new nursery and bedroom are coming along great! (If you're in town though, you'll be gently persuaded to pick up a brush or hammer to help the cause).
