Battle for Brokenwalls - Trinity company awoke early to reenter the battle at Brokenwalls. Sergeant Vittorio assigned Mouse and Calais to run point again. This time keeping closer to the main body of the group. Mouse and Calais melted from shadow to shadow until they reached an abandoned Goblin make-shift fortification. Debris and scavenged materials were cobbled together to form a defensive fortification. Calais verified that the position had been in used for several days and was abandoned in haste.

A chance sighting in the debris revealed a goblin torture device known as a "biter box". A quick blast of breath weapon from the sergeant rendered the spiders within harmless. The hapless soul contained in the box was beyond salvation. Calais commented the Sir Eric Venns was likely the victim of a device like this and that may lend some explanation as to his damaged mental state.

Trinity company came upon the rear guard of a grimme siege engine unit. The Nine Fists tribe was tougher than previous goblin units, but a carefully planned attack put the goblins on their heels. Trinity company managed to route the grimme and the reinforcements that followed. The besieged plaza further to their east was the source of chaos and distruction as the two young paladins and their ranks held fast agains the waves of grimme.

Elements of the Mage Consortium descended on the plaza delivering their own brand of fury on the trapped units of the grimme. Lady Rahmel and Lord Whiteoak managed to keep their forces largely intact through the prolonged night action. Now liberated, the two paladins joined Lord Aiden and the balance of the Host in pressing their advantage.

Passing by the beheaded corpse of a giant purple worm brought a tear of regret to Mouse's eye until Calais reminded him of the venom sacks of spider shaman's mounts.

Regrouping on the field outside of Y'eves, the host brought the bulk of its catapults and trebuchets from the upper field and the chalice to give the mountainside fortress a pounding worthy of bardic retelling.

Lord Aiden offered up a warm celebratory meal of fried potatoes, bacon and the like in anticipation of the morning's attack.

The lamps burned well into the night at the command tent. Lady Celeste Rahmel delivered the news to Villetta 3rd pike and the imbedded Trinity Company that they would be the leading element entering into the keep in the morning. The senior staff of trinity company invited Celeste to share in the camaraderie of drink. Much to the disagreement of her virgin palate she attempted to share in the soldier's moment, only to find the fiery brandy much to her distaste.

As a night cap to the evening Sergeant Cole made a visit to the survivors of D company.

Mouse's Journal - Ya know. life ain't too bad in the military. The chow is decent and regular and I get to hang out with guys who work well together. It kinda reminds me of back home. Dezzy always said that some time in the military would do me good. Personally I think he was just trying to get rid of me permanent like. Anyway, Working on the point is a little nerve rattling, but just seeing the look on their faces when introduce may blade to one of dem grimms is satisfaction enough. Oh and ther is this broad up here that gets me a a fluster. I think she might have a thing for me. I heard to taling to the Sarge about me. Paladin Smaladin. She wants me.
