French Level 2
Unité 3: Leçon 2
Le Déjeuner

We're now ready to have some breakfast. I have to warn you that breakfast in France is not a big deal. I'm sure you've heard of a continental breakfast. That's what we're having with a few additions. Hotel breakfasts cover everything from eggs, bacon, toast, etc. to some really gross stuff. Even still, French people don't like to eat a huge breakfast. The big meal of the day for the French is lunch which is also called "le déjeuner"!

Fortunately for poor Monsieur Charon, our hotel is a three star so he will actually get something to eat besides the types of food served in the cheap hotels: hard bread, water-chocolate, water or milk. Yuck!

Let's take a look at the serving table.

Next let's take a look at the items above in one of our favorite things: the word-graph! Repeat the words after Monsieur Charon.

Track 14

I need to warn you that throughout this course Monsieur Charon, Victoire and I will be speaking in French to each other. We hope that doing this will help you to learn French easier and faster!

Let's head over to the next leçon.
