The following notices appeared in the Martinsburg Gazette from 1810 to 1854. In addition to these notices, several others appeared indicating dead letters at the post office for members of the Henry Whitenah family.

NOTICE--The parties to the above suit will please to take notice, that I will attend at my Office in Martinsburg, on Tuesday the 8th day of August next, for the purpose of proceding to make up a report on the said case, at which time and place the said John W. Boyd will produce before me all the papers and vouchers for a settlement of his account as trustee of Edward C. Southwood; and the other parties will lay before me their bonds, notes and accounts evidencing the amount of their claims, and the parties will come prepared to answer on oath (if required) any matters, deemed necessary and proper, touching the accounts to be settled under this order,

BERKELEY LAND FOR SALE
INTENDING to change my residence. I will offer at private sale the farm on which I now reside, lying on the road leading from Martinsburg to Charlestown, and four miles from the former place, containing about two hundred Acres of first-rate Land, nearly one-half of which is in timber--the balance under good cultivation. The improvements consist of a Dwelling House, Barn, Stables, Corn House, &c, also two small Orchards, and a well of never-failing water in the yard. It is deemed unnecessary to give a further description, as any person wishing to purchase, will first view the premises. For terms apply to the subscriber.

VALUABLE BERKELEY LAND AT PUBLIC SALE
HAVING determined to remove west I will sell before the Court House door in Martinsburg on Monday the 14th day of August next (it being a court day) the farm on which I now reside lying four miles south of Martinsburg, containing two hundred acres of a good quality of slate land, nearly half of which is in timber.

The improvements consist of a dwelling House, Barn, Stable, Cornshouse, &c, also two small Orchards and a well of nevery-failing water in the yard. I deem it unnecessary to give further description as any person wishing to purchase will first view the premises.

Terms of Sale--One half of the purchase money cash, the balance in two equal annual payments to be secured by a lien on the Land.

Possession given on or before the first of November next.

On the 23rd instant, in this county, at the residence of his brother-in-law Robert Campbell, Mr. John G. Whitenah aged 67 years and 2 months. He died as he had lived--a sincere Christian and an honest man.
