Use the form below to search for documents in the Utah Crossroads web site containing specific words or combinations of words. The text search engine will display a weighted list of matching documents, with better matches shown first. Each list item is a link to a matching document; if the document has a title it will be shown, otherwise only the document's file name is displayed. A brief explanation of the query language is available, along with examples. After linking to the desired page use your browser's "Find" function to locate where on the page your search target is found.
The text search engine is not case-sensitive and allows queries to be formed from arbitrary Boolean expressions containing the keywords AND, OR, and NOT, and grouped with parentheses. For example:
- Donner Party
- finds documents containing 'donner' or 'party'
- Donner or Party
- same as above
- Donner and Party
- finds documents containing both 'donner' and 'party'
- Donner not Party
- finds documents containing 'donner' but not 'party'
- (Donner not Party) and Graves
- finds documents containing 'graves', plus 'donner' but not 'party'
- Don*
- finds documents containing words starting with 'don'
