Rumors:
-Tiberian Wizards- They are thinking of making Tiberian magic users. They aren't like wizards or anything like that, they would be mutated by the Tiberium so that they could use some weird telekinetic force.
-Commando- There will be a commando named General Derek and he can blow up a tank in one shot
-First Mission- GDI - You are in command of the beach head defenses along the South Atlantic Ocean. Your mission is to preform a delaying action along the shore since GDI command had figured the invasion would come from South America. GDI is massivley out numbered and out matched by NOD'S technology.
- NOD - The invasion of Antartica is almost ready to go but there is one problem. The orbital laser cannon that GDI has will rip any invasion force a new one. The NOD player must lead a zero G commando squad into the targeting space station.
-Background- After the first C&C GDI was militarly dismantled by the United Nations Security Council. A few years pass and world peace is within sight. NOD(now a small unorganized group)secretley revives Kane with the use of Tiberium. He is now a mutated freak and in control of a reborn NOD. Through the use of political fiends and NOD's growing military strength Kane conquers many if not all third world nations. During the time this is happening NOD uses highly placed officals in the United Nations Security Council To prohibit the reconstruction of GDI. With this done NOD's political allys infiltrate the governments of the world. Later the seceret plot is uncovered by Gen. Sheppard (Now leader of a top secret Black Bag organinization) and he begins te re-create GDI with funds received by this secret organization(the third party). The new GDI retreats to Antartica, the only continent not controlled by Kane. The governments of the world call for the destrustion of this terrorist organization so NOD assembles it's forces and invades the frozen continent. This is where the player comes in. He\She is the same character He\She was before so the players rank allows Him\Her access to strategic dispositions(not just tactical) of the GDI force. Thus the battle begins...
-History- In 9045 AD, NOD and GDI were the two major players in an intergalactic war. Technology had almost reached a peak. A new superweapon had been developed which revolutionized warfare similar to what nuclear weapons had done for World War II (in the real world). This superweapon had the ability to penetrate the sun and cause a supernova. As it turned out, both NOD and GDI had this and were using it extensively. Many worlds and solar systems were destroyed because of this. NOD sent Kane, a cyborg of extreme intelligence and cruelty, back into time to change the future and make NOD the supreme power. GDI sent an as-yet-unknown character back into the same time period to counter Kane and destroy NOD once and for all
-Missle Silos- The Thermonuclear Weapon destroys EVERYTHING within a radius of 60 squares (for realism). The Missle Silo does not only shoots Thermonuclear Weapons. It also shoots Cruise Missles, V-2 Rockets, etc. Each one has different reload times, costs, effects radius, and damage
-Missions- The Mission system will be like Tiberian Dawn in which you get to choose your missions. When the mission ends though, the player gets to keep one-fourth of the ending credits as their own personal cash stash. The player can decide whether to take money of this stash for a particular mission if they deam it necessary
-Game Interface- Tiberian Sun will keep the menu bars (Units, Buildings) but will add the Options Bar. The Options Bar is empty unless a unit or building is selected. Then the Options Bar will show the things a unit could do. Take for instance, the soldier. When the soldier is selected, the Options Bar shows several things: Gun and Grenade. Choosing the Gun or the Grenade will make the soldier use that weapon. Another example would be the Mammoth Tank. The Mammoth Tank’s options would be Deploy, Cannon, and Rocket
-Defence Structures- GDI will have a high tech structure called the EMP Cannon Tower (EMP is short for Electromagnetic Pulse). It fires very slowly (every 20 seconds) and has a range of 9 squares. The EMP Cannon shoots a green ball which temporarily pauses all mechanical objects in a radius of 3 squares. This temporary pause lasts for about 10 seconds, in which the affected units (vehicles, mechs, tanks) cannot move, shoot, see, etc. This structure requires a lot of power and is expensive (around 3000 credits). There will be something like the Tesla Coil and the Obelisk of Light for NOD. There will be a building for both sides called the SDI Defense System. This is a structure which has a radius of 70 squares. It renders nukes in that area as useless (SDI shoots it down). This structure will require a lot of power and is extremely expensive (around 4000 credits).
-Time- Tiberian Sun WILL be set in the same universe as Command and Conquer and Red Alert. Here it is in chronological order: Red Alert, Tiberian Dawn, Tiberian Sun.
-Crates- There is a crate that allows you to build enemy buildings
-Tech Centers, GPS- I have heard that you can build 20 stories Super Tech Center and the GPS can't see through fog and is affected by vocano, fog, monster?, and some other things
-Mech Units, Thieves, and Air Units- There WILL be mech units, a whole slew of em, and tanks will be much more advanced with machine guns and rocket systems to defend against attacks, and there will be a thief unit that will be able to STEAL ANY UNIT from the enemy, imagine a chinook landing in your base next to 5 mammoths just doing nothing then all of a sudden they attack you! It'll be awesome it will make for a MUCH more strategic game, and there won't be that many tank rushes..and the mech units will have AWESOME weapons, I heard one mech will have a single barreled 120mm cannon in it's right arm and a rocket launcher on it's left shoulder and a VERY high firing rate machine gun in it's left arm to just mow down mechs....I also heard that there will be ALOT of new air units, along with new experimental weapons such as the long range laser cannon and ion cannons as wide as the screen that will decimate a base.
-Infantry & Mutants- There are some normal infantry that, instead of dying when running through tiberium, they will turn into mutants, too!
-Spies- I hear that the spys will have double mounted m-60 machine guns and be able to fly through buildings and buy things from the enemy and not be able to be detected by anything
-Stealth Mammoth Tank- There will be invisible Mammoth Tanks in TS
-Airplane- I've heard that there is going to be an airplane that is invisible and will be able to kill large amounts of people(20-25 people) at once.
-Bombers, Camo-SAMs, Fighters- This is a fact, there will be a more tactical fighting unit called the Z28 attack bomber. This new plan will enable you to a drop units into the enemies base (such as Mammoth Tanks). There will also be a new SAM site that can not be seen, similar to the camouflage pillbox in Red Alert. A new type of fighter has been developed, a sniper that can morph into inatimate objects and still fire.
-Super Weapon- There are going to be nuclear weapons which are so powerful which will be able to take out 2/3 of a base but the problem will be it's going to 10000 credits and it's going to take half the game to make and that is only if you find it in one of these crates which you can get which hold nukes, etc.
-Commando- There are going to be these cool commandos that are black (Like snipers) and their weapons will be twice as powerful and they can destroy tanks too!
-Kane is a Robot?- Kane is not human Kane is not alien, how do you think Kane was the same age in Red Alert (1945) as he was in Command & Conquer (1994). Kane was a cyborg from the "future" (9045 A.D.) Kane was a robot programmed to lead nod into victory...
-Strange Building- Another unit: a spinx, it is like one of the futuristic freaks buildings but when something gets near it from an enemy it sets of an explosion it kills everything of the enemys but you can only get it in a crate. He said: It is kind of unfair but I like it.
-Tanks- There are still tanks but they hover and stuff
-Laser Tanks- There is a laser tank! I heard it is really cool!: it shoots this green laser and it blows up about 4 square spaces. (lets hope this is true!)
-Buildings & Units- I heared that there will be much more buildings, units, and maps. Westwood will also work on the boats.
