Rumors:

-Commandos- There will be no commandos

-Story Line- In C&C1, NOD conquered the Africa and GDI conquered Europe. So, they still there. But the difficult is to concluse the two alternate Storylines (is Kane dead or not): Kane has had an "accident" (GDI-line: by destroying his temple NOD-line: by an terrorist) There were two temples: one in Europe and one in South-Africa. The temple in Europe was destroyed but in Africa, it stills constructed. The Third Party, the Tiberium Mutant Freaks, are interested in accelerate Tiberium Growth to "help" the World beeing like them (a new generation of genies). They're funny. In the Story-line, there will be no Aliens, but in the secret missions (like Dino or Ants), this time, it was Aliens.

-Tiberium- I have heard that there will be mech units that can go over Tiberium because it is a real disadvantage not being able to go over Tiberium.

-The Game- I`ve heard from a source in Westwood, that the game will be in twoparts, there will be a soldier's eye view element. Where units can be controlled in what can best be explained as a quake like environment. Units will range from the hi-tech "Morpher" to the bog standard Soldier suit seen at the end of C&C. Multiplayer detail shave not been finalised. From the drawings i`ve been given, there will also be a similar engine to Red alert except: 1. there will be an up and down so units can climb hills, get vantage points. Variations on desert, forest and tundra land. The new styled graphics will need a high end pentium (P200mmx) at least. Apparently Westwood is hoping it will be entry level by 1998 (March is the earliest release date). Lastly I`m told, and this is more of a rumor, that will be possible + desirable for a second player on the same computer, as there wil be two elements to the game - strategy and resource. Sounds strange but its only what I`ve been told -Adam Jacques

-Sides- NOD is going to have more high technology than GDI because they are they world power. GDI will be sort of half and half with a few tricks up their sleeve. It WILL be in the same timeline as Tiberian Dawn because C&C is in the same alternate reality as Red Alert. The order was this: Red Alert --> C&C -->

-Orcas- The Tiberian Sun units will include Mobile Orca Pads. (Large, heavyarmored vehicles, though slow and without onboard weapons.

-Technology- It will NOT be all high tech. The world's empires will be collapsing, thus creating a mix of old AND high tech equipment.

-Release- Some online ordering shops are listing it as to be released 11/98.

-Title- C&C2 Tiberian Sun might change name to Tiberian War

-Fortresses- You will be able to build well defended fortress on wheel where you can hide out. You can also design and construct your own units how you like them

-Conditions- C&C2 should have vehicles and other things react with the weather like tires spinning on the ice

-Direction of Tiberian Sun- "The technology behind the engine, the lighting system, the units, and the visual systems are being completely overhauled and changed for Tiberian Sun, we are experimenting with other perspectives, but for a strategy games, we still favor some kind of top-down view because of all the control it gives you. Will it be a point-of-view 3D engine like Mechwarrior? No, not for Tiberian Sun. However, for the future Command & Conquer products we are also experimenting with some other new ideas, but probably won't appear or be discussed until the end of 1998. The next big game, Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun, should be out in Spring, 1998."-Brett Sperry

-Third Side- The third side will be a group of tiberian mutated freaks

-3 Sides- There will be three sides

-Global Map- There will be a global map and you can move supplies and units around the world

-Antartica- Info from an inside source at Westwood... After the fall of NOD, Kane comes back with a new army and takes over the whole world except for Antartica, where GDI makes its last stand Also, soldiers WILL be able to swim and climb mountains, as originally planned for Red Alert There will be a large crane unit that will be able to pick up tanks and other units

-Release- C&C2: Tiberian Sun is currently in pre production and there is no official release date at this time other than "when it is ready". Because it is in the very early stages of life, no other information available. One thing we can verify- it is not going to be a "mech" game it will use a interface similar to C&C, but expanded

-Re-written engine- Tiberian Sun will use an entirely new game engine (Red Alert did not use a new one, just an improved one from C&C)

-3D Perspective- Tiberian Sun will NOT be a 3D perspective, (confirmed by Westwood)

-Zoom- Map and zoom in for individual battles

-Map Size- The maps of Tiberian Sun will be much larger than those in C&C (about 4x the size) and 2x the sizes of the biggest Red Alert maps

-Weather- There will be many weather conditions, like snow, rain, clouds, smog, sunny, etc…

-No Aliens- There will NO aliens, alien stuff, alien bases, etc… But there will many Hi-Tech things too

-Explosions- The explosions will be bigger and better, and the sound effects will be better

-First Person View- After the interview with Westwood CEO done by Game Slice Weekly, there was a small hint from him that the future game engine of Tiberian Sun, will use both an above view, as in C&C etc, and a First-Person view, so you will be able to select a unit, and guide him through his eyes
