Next in-person UARC Meeting at the U
on Thursday September 12, 2024:

Brett Davis, KJ7Y about the Utah Offroad Recovery Team

The Utah Offroad Recovery Team (UORRT) was formed to provide recovery services for off road enthusiests.  Members of the team are volunteers who provide services on their own time at their own expense.  In addition to an offload vehicle with suitable recovery equipment, First-aid and FEMA ICS knowlege, all members of the team must hold at least a Technician level Amateur Radio license.  UORRT will speak to us about offload recovery and the role Amateur Radio plays in their offroad activities.

The meeting starts at 7:30 pm and will be available on UARC's YouTube Channel, live and for later playback.

The meeting before the meeting has moved! We are now meeting for dinner at 17:30, at "The Other Place" (a restaurant), at 469 E 300 S in Salt Lake City, UT 84111. Parking in the rear, entrance off of 5th East.

UARC in-person meetings are held at the University of Utah. The meeting room is #2230 in Warnock Engineering Building - although that is subject to change, so keep an eye on this space.   To get to room 2230: If you enter the glass doors on the east side of the building, it is most of the way down the hall and up at the top of the stairs to the right.

For directions on how to get to the meeting location at the University of Utah, including elevator access - and to see a map showing the parking lot north of Merrill Engineering Building which you can SAFELY park in without getting a ticket - go to the "Directions to the Meeting" page - link.
