Upcoming UARC event: We just couldn't let the Holidays go by without a fun meal of our own, so yes, it'll be time for yet another dinner. We're planning this one as dutch treat for the Midvale Golden Corral, 665 E 7200 S, so each person pays for their own at the restaurant. Although this dinner will replace our December club meeting, we plan to hold elections that night, plus conduct other club business in between bites. This dinner is an exception, but regular UARC meetings are normally held on the second Thursday of each month except July and August at 7:30 P.M. UARC meeting place is on the University of Utah campus in the Warnock Engineering Building. (In the foyer of this building is a sign for the "John and Marcia Price College of Engineering" so don't let that confuse you.) Here is a map and directions. Meeting starts at 7:30 pm and will be available on UARC's YouTube Channel, live and for later playback. |
Welcome to the Utah Amateur Radio Club's web site. Our club is the oldest amateur radio club in the state of Utah. It holds the call W7SP, a memorial call for Leonard "Zim" Zimmerman, early UARC member and radio pioneer. It also publishes a monthly newsletter called Microvolt, electronic versions of which can be found here.

This site includes information about the club's history and current activities, as well as answers to the most frequently asked questions about Amateur Radio in Utah and Amateur Radio in general. We hope you find it useful. Suggestions are always appreciated.
