Photographs from Southern Patagonia - Argentina and Chile __________________________________________________________________________________________________
In the middle of March of 2010, I traveled to Southern Patagonia in South America. I stayed for over two weeks in this beautiful area, backpacking for a week in Parque Nacional Los Glaciares in Argentina and another week in Torres del Paine in Chile.
While trekking 120 km with a heavy backpack, I experienced the typical Patagonian harsh weather conditions, heavy rains and strong winds, cold and freezing temperatures, but also a few sunny and warm days, some beautiful sunsets and sunrises. I saw falling avalanches, cracking glaciers and hundreds of rainbows. It was a great adventure that I will never forget. These were the most beautiful mountains I have seen yet. I photographed all the beauty I've seen around me and selected my favorites here. Hope my varieties express the beauty of Patagonia.
