During the peak of the Florentian Empire, Madrigal was a rich land of forests, crops and cities, a solid western expanse of the Imperium. It is said that an Imperial Governor back in the 800’s angered a powerful outsider, who laid a curse upon the land. Patches of desert cropped up throughout the land and started to spread as the water dried up. Within 10 years the realm had been swallowed by a scorching desert right up to the Crimson Teeth. With no water, the realm was completely abandoned and is now home only to monsters. All traces of its former culture have been lost, but there are said to be great treasures within those ruined cities… (Anyone adventuring here had better bring their water with them…)
