OVERVIEW
Sitting atop a high mountain butte Castle Nevermore is an impressive fortification. Its stone walls and soaring turrets have a commanding view of the great meadow below. A snow melt river divides the meadow and provide the muscle that operates the saw mill. Temporary structures litter the meadow, a sign of frequent occupation by solders and pilgrims alike.

The Castle proper is reserved for nobility and ranking officers of the Imperium. Occasional leave is given to soldiers that can afford the hospitality of the one inn, Griffin's Wing.

The area around nevermore is home to a community of farmers and laborers. The residents are aware of the attrition rate of the soldiers passing through their community. They are very generous to military personnel as a result.

Nevermore has never fallen to the Grimme, but it has weathered more than one assault by elements of the Grimme. The citizens who remember the assaults are keen to remind younger members of the community the debt they owe the soldiers of the Imperium. Since this is the last semblance of civilization between the empire and The Chalice it is not uncommon for soldiers to vent a little steam.
