How To Become A Ham
One of the first steps toward getting a license is to obtain the book Ham Radio License Manual published by the American Radio Relay League (ARRL). It tells all about amateur radio and contains all the information necessary to get a first license. One source of the book is the club's “book seller,” Rick Gregory, KG7GOW who is available at meetings and can be contacted by phone.

UARC and other groups sometimes conduct classes for those getting ready to test for a first license or an upgrade of license class. When we find out about a class we will list the information here.
