Document Archive

It is my intent to make available copies of the original documents that provide evidence of relationships between individuals (of both Whitnahs and related families). In some cases, evidence (such as biographies) are copywrited and cannot be reproduced. The types are currently available:

Census Records
The following table shows the Census Records I have searched in relation to Whitnah genealogy. Years followed by an (x) indicate that no Whitnahs were found in the Census Index for that year (however they might still be in that Census year but misindexed). Click the linked years to view selected information from the Census for that year and location.

x=No Whitnahs found in Census year
na=No Census available
ni=No index available, no search made

Note: Census indexes were consulted looking for either Whitnah or Whitenah. In some cases, I may have also looked at entries for Whiteneck or Whiteknecht. However, I may not have caught every variation of the name, or the name may be listed incorrectly in the index. When available, I have searched the soundex files (W350) and consulted the corresponding Census when a Whitnah name was listed. I have not taken the time to check if our Whitnah ancestors might have been listed under some other possible variations such as Whitney, Whitnack/Whitenack, etc.
